Why Any Business Selling Vaping Products Needs Representation

23/11/2022 Information e-cigarettes, government, Oregon, representative groups, smoking, vaping, Vaping Association of Retailers, vaping businesses, vaping industry, vaping products

Vaping businesses have been under direct assault by anti-vaping groups and politicians who are deadset on restricting the sale and use of vaping products as much as possible. Unfortunately, this campaign is fueled by misinformation, falsehoods, and outright lies. If you’re a business selling vaping products in any capacity, your livelihood is at stake. One of the most effective ways to push back against over-the-top legislation and misled activists is to make more noise, generate more attention, and take more legal action. As a business owner, you don’t have the time to commit to those endeavors, so that’s where representative groups come into play. Let’s take a look at some of the top reasons for joining these groups.

You’re not alone.

It’s easy to feel alone and vulnerable when the legal system, activist groups, and most media outlets seem organized in threatening your way of life when it comes to selling vaping products. Although the threat is very real, you’re certainly not alone. There is no shortage of fellow retailers who are just as frustrated, confused, and motivated as you to fight against government overreach and unfair laws. On top of that, there are plenty of representative groups acting on a federal and state level that are actively campaigning on behalf of vaping users and sellers. These groups are proving essential to ward off the passage of Draconian legislation against vaping.

There’s power in numbers.

The e-cigarette market brought in a whopping $22.82 billion in 2022 with a projected growth of 4.31% each year through 2027. Clearly, this is a thriving market full of thousands of companies ranging from small businesses to multinational conglomerates. The key to defending the rights of businesses to sell vaping products is to bring as many people together as possible. The market has the numbers, the size, and the funding to counteract these anti-vaping forces. Now, it’s all about finding the right representation and making our voices as loud as possible.

Activist groups are mobilized.

The anti-vaping coalition has never been as animated, organized, and energized as it is today. Across the country, millions of activists are committed to seeing the ban on e-cigarettes without a care about how that will negatively impact the thousands of business owners who rely on these products for a way of life. These mobilized vaping detractors demand an equally motivated and effective opposition that’s focused on protecting the livelihood of vaping businesses, the rights of adults to do what they want, and the constitutional protections inherent in our democracy.

The government is moving quickly.

Time is of the essence when it comes to protecting the rights of vaping businesses and e-cigarette users. Every day, activist groups and politicians are moving closer to successfully passing severely restrictive laws that would effectively see the strangulation of the entire vaping market in the US. Now is the time to take a stance against government overreach, misguided activists, and actively lying media outlets that are all complicit in an unfounded campaign against vaping businesses. The longer business owners wait to stand up to this

Legislation can hurt your business.

There’s been a wave of anti-vaping legislation sweeping across the nation that actively harms the way of life for people who sell vaping products. Every state already has common-sense laws preventing the sale of e-cigarettes to underage individuals. But, it’s clear that reasonable laws upon which everyone can agree just aren’t enough for the anti-vaping camp. Many states have already succumbed to overbearing laws banning the online sale of vaping products and restriction flavored vaping. Both of these laws irrevocably damage businesses in the vaping sector with small and medium-sized businesses receiving the brunt of the harm.
